The dainty, feathery, pinnate foliage emerges a soft, copper color before maturing to bright-green. Unusual, small, star shaped, bright-yellow flowers hang in 15" panicles; when the flowers drop you have a 'golden rain'. Flowers become showy, curious, balloon-shaped, tan colored, seed capsules. These all serve to make this attractive 30-40' and equally wide spreading tree distinctive. Tolerant of air pollution, making it a good tree for urbans sites. S/M-D Zone 6
