Forestfarm is an on-line mail order plant nursery. We specialize in growing useful and ornamental plants. With over 50 years of experience in propagating our own plants, we have one of the largest selections in the country.
In 1971, while hiking on their honeymoon, Ray and Peg Prag, envisioned creating a nursery together away from the city.

Historical Background
By 1974, Forestfarm had become a reality. Ray and Peg originally began growing only natives in #10 cans scavenged from local cafeterias! Over the years Forestfarm blossomed into a collection of more than 5,000 kinds of plants from all over the world.
The Prags wanted to find a way to share their wonder and respect for plants, not only today but into the future, so in 1998 they founded the nature preserve Pacifica: A Garden in the Siskiyous. Their dream was that Forestfarm nursery continued on and at least in part help fund the nature preserve at Pacifica. Pacifica is located in the beautiful and amazingly bio-diverse Klamath-Siskiyou Region of Southwestern Oregon. It’s 540 historic acres are dedicated to providing education about our natural environment while enhancing the learner’s understanding and appreciation of the natural world.
Forestfarm Today
Located in our facility inside Pacifica, we continue to grow more beautiful and healthy plants, and carry as wide a selection of them as possible. We have a staff of 8-10 gardeners and interns who share the same passion—we pride ourselves on growing the highest quality plants. Thank you for your interest in our web site.
