This eastern North American cultivar is distinguished from the species, by its silvery leaf undersides, which look spectacular in a breeze, its dense canopy and compact conical shape. It blooms profusely from May into fall with large, single, creamy white blooms, deliciously fragrant with a sweet lemony scent. Its cone-like fruits are adorned with bright red, showy seeds, which along with the dense canopy, are attractive to birds. This stunning tree is also a host plant for the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail butterfly! This wonderful tree makes a beautiful specimen, privacy hedge or lining a driveway. S/M
